Many people desire miracles from God. They want God to perform miracles to “prove” Himself to them. “If only God would perform a miracle, sign, or wonder, then I would believe!” This idea, though, is contradicted by Scripture. When God performed amazing and powerful miracles for the Israelite, did that cause them to obey Him? No, the Israelite constantly disobeyed and rebelled against God even though they saw all the miracles. The same people who saw God part the Reed Sea later doubted whether God was able to conquer the inhabitants of the Promised Land.

The miracles in the Old Testament are executed using the forces and powers of nature. Old Testament miracles are direct acts of divine power that often display God’s sovereign control over nature rather than natural forces acting on their own. While God sometimes used natural elements—like wind or earthquakes—their timing, scale, and purpose transcend ordinary physical laws. That may be proved with the outburst of the Santorini volcano at the time Moses led the Israelite out of Egypt. Moses led the Israelite out of Egypt around the 15th century BC. The Santorini outburst or other occurred around 1620–1600 BC, blowing apart the original round island and forming the iconic giant caldera.

The miracles in the New Testament are concerning the health of individuals and controlling nature. While many New Testament miracles involve physical healing and exorcisms—such as curing blindness, leprosy, paralysis, and fever—they are not exclusively about individual health. Jesus and the Apostles also performed nature miracles, such as turning water into wine, calming a storm, walking on water, and multiplying loaves and fish.

God still performs miracles today, though Christian traditions hold different views on how and when He does so. Many believe God actively intervenes through dramatic events, unexplained healing, and answered prayers, while others distinguish between God’s sovereign power and the specific apostolic sign gifts of the early Bible era.

Nowadays. a miracle does not have the purpose to give faith to the people. This is futile. Miracles are not meant to create or force faith. Instead, theological tradition views them as expressions of divine compassion, signs of God’s active presence, or confirmations of a message already grounded in truth, rather than tools to convert or convince skeptics.

Only people who have faith and have followed the New Ten Commandments may pray for a miracle. You must get rid of your addictions and illegal objects of worship. Do not have any idols in your home. Stop your addictions.

For personal health God helped scientist and doctors to understand the mechanisms of health. People now know that avoiding addiction and living healthily prolongs life. Chronic opioid use can result in neurobiological changes that lead to increases in negative affective states, jointly contributing to suicide risk and continued opioid use.

Severe alcohol use disorder shortens life expectancy by 24 to 28 years. Individuals with chronic dependency face a drastically higher risk of fatal complications like liver cirrhosis, cardiovascular disease, and cancer, with hospitalized patients often averaging an age of 47 to 58 at death.Smoking significantly raises your risk of cancer and many other chronic health conditions, though not every smoker will develop cancer. Tobacco use shortens average life expectancy by about 10 to 15 years and causes damage to nearly every organ in the body.
